Is 2,000 Horsepower Too Much? Not For This Ford GT

Is 2,000 Horsepower Too Much? Not For This Ford GT

Tuesday, November 10th, 2015

It has been almost a decade since Ford introduced the GT Supercar. It was originally inspired by the original GT40 sports car that raced in the 1960s, and it borrowed much of the fundamental styling from the 60’s version. The modern GT is powered by a twin-screw type supercharger bolted to a 5.4-liter V8 engine that pumps out 550 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, enabling it to accelerate from zero to sixty in just 3.3 seconds. But what if it could go faster?

Tuner M2K has built a Ford GT that can pump out 1,894 horsepower, it’s so close to 2,000 horsepower that we have decided to round up. Little is known about what modifications were made to the engine, but we are sure it includes larger blowers, ECU tune and structural reinforcements. Take a look at the beast being dynode below.
