It has been over thirty years since the Ferrari 288 GTO was revealed. The 288 GTO was originally created for Group B racing, but the series ended in 1986 and left 272 non-street legal race cars to be dealt with. Since then, the Ferrari 250 GTO succeeded the 288 GTO and then the F40, F50, Enzo and now the LaFerrari. Now what would it be like if we were to re-imagine a modern day 458 GTO?

Late last year, Lexus introduced the LF-C2 concept which gave us a clear idea to what an RC coupe would appear to look like. Lexus is clearly trying to take on BMW’s 3-Series with the introduction of the new IS sedan, RC Coupe and maybe an RC convertible. To determine whether buyers would go for a RC coupe, Lexus has taken the LF-C2 concept to the Mediterranean.
What you see here, is a mule of the upcoming Audi TT-RS being spied tested on the Nürburgring, Nordschleife. The exhausts are typical mule exhausts and the sound gives away that there’s a 2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder quattro 270kW/367PS S-tronic under the hood, probably the same engine Audi using in the 2015 Audi RS3 Sportback.
