The short-lived Anaheim, California based automaker halted production of the Karma back in November of 2012 due to financial hardships. However, Bob Lutz a General Motors executive placed a bid for Fisker back in May but lost out to a Hong Kong Billionaire named Richard Li. Lutz was able to get his hands on twenty five unsold Friskers and has plans to replace their hybrid powerplant with a Corvette ZR1 supercharged V8 engine.

The President’s limo is based on a commercial truck platform developed by GMC. The Limo, codenamed “The Beast” has been around since the Bush Administration and President Obama has one of his own. There are twelve “Beasts” known to exist, each one costing around $1.5 million.

The BMW i3 is BMW’s first foray into the electric vehicle market. Some might see it as a Tesla Model S competitor because of its BMW badging, however, it isn’t. The i3 was designed by BMW to be the best city car possible. The i3 is a short, tall, hatchback that can seat four. The wheels are stretched out to the corners to maximize interior space and create a better handling vehicle.The only design element of the i3 that resembles a modern day BMW is its signature kidney grille. Otherwise the design screams “I’m an eco vehicle!”

BMW has finally released a short teaser trailer for their new 1-Series Coupe replacement, the 2-Series. The 2-Series is expected to be powered by two familiar BMW engines, the turbocharged 2.0-liter 4 cylinder producing 240 horsepower and the turbocharged 3.0-liter 6 cylinder producing 320 horsepower. 6-speed manual will be standard and BMW’s ZF sourced 8-speed automatic will be optional. The M version of the 2-Series may be outfitted with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The next generation 2015 Mercedes Benz C-Class is expected to make its world debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. Mercedes has released a short teaser video showcasing specific design elements such as fit and finish, new tech, and a new generation of design taking cues from the 2014 S-Class.
