The Vath tuning company has recently come out with a new tuning package for the Mercedes-Benz C180 CGI station wagon… err estate. The C180 might not be the sportiest looking vehicle, but Vath gives it a little help in the go department and some more stylish options. The 1.6-liter engine normally makes a modest 156hp, but with the help of the German tuning company it can make a more respectable 194hp.
Nowadays, nearly every high-end manufacturer has some kind of customization program. McLaren has McLaren Special Operations, Aston Martin has Q, and the list goes on. BMW’s personalization program is Individual, and they have nailed the M4 perfectly.
Porsche introduced the track-oriented 2016 911 GT3 RS at last week’s Geneva Motor Show. The GT3 RS has been designed by Porsche’s racing division to be a completely track focused vehicle. Compared to the standard GT3, the RS variant removes several creature comforts for the name of performance.
Lamborghini revived the SuperVeloce nameplate at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show last week. The SuperVeloce is the highest performing Aventador, and it features a modified engine that pushes out 750 horsepower. Word has it that Lamborghini could introduce a roadster variant very soon.
Over the past few years Lotus has been in the middle of a brand restructuring. After losing sales to its competitors, Lotus reassessed their business and one of the fruits of their labor is the introduction of the refreshed 2016 Evora 400.
There was quite a long gap in McLaren’s production of street legal cars since the F1. When McLaren finally returned to the supercar game with the MP4-12C, it was a tremendous moment. Just last year, we got the incredible P1 that is at last the true successor to the F1, but it all started with this legendary supercar that put the driver at the center of everything.
